Matic warns rivals that Hazard could soon be back to his best

Eden Hazard has got off to a slow start to the campaign but last Saturday he scored his first goal for Chelsea this season. His deflected effort meant Chelsea came out 2-0 winners over our rivals, Arsenal. The goal was also Hazard’s 50th for the club since arriving from Lille in 2012.

Against Arsenal he was back to his usual self causing their defence many problems. The Belgian was the most fouled player in the game, a sign that they couldn’t stop him within the rules of the game. His goal will also give him a boost in confidence.

It’s a big goal for Eden. He needs to score goals for his confidence and to be on his top level. He is very important for our team. I am very happy he scored his first goal and I hope it gives him more self-belief.

Hazard won many player of the year awards last season and he’s certainly capable of reaching even higher heights this season. If he can start to play with the confidence of last season he is bound to help us climb back to the top end of the table where we belong.

He needs to know that he is the best player in the Premier League and use his qualities. When he scored it was an important moment in the season for him.
