Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea have gotten themselves into a bit of a predicament this season as they sit 14th in the Premier league after 15 games, bagging themselves only 15 points on the process, the ice is getting thin at Chelsea as Abramovich may be starting to get incredibly frustrated after Chelsea’s home defeat to newly promoted, Bournemouth.
Reports are saying that Abramovich will look to sack Mourinho if he loses to Porto and get knocked out into the Europa League. Chelsea still back Jose Mourinho but may be starting to get frustrated with his side’s poor performance and dropping out of the Champions League could be the last straw.
On the top of Abramovich’s managerial list, Antonio Conte is his man, the Italian is currently the coach of the Italian national team but previously had lead Juventus to three Serie A titles, Conte may be interested in a move to the Premier league but doesn’t plan to leave his post as Italy manager until he leads his nation at 2016 European championship in France. The 46 year old has admirers in the Chelsea hierarchy, with the club having previous interest in the manager.
Former Man United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, also has had his say on the matter.
