Patrick Bamford joins Norwich on loan

It has been confirmed that Patrick Bamford will spend the rest of the season out on loan at Carrow Road. The Englishman has gone out on loan for the fifth time in his career, and is yet to play a senior game for the Blues.

Bamford played in a behind closed door against QPR U21 the other week, in which he scored two fine goals. The forward joins the Canaries full of optimism after a dreadful spell at Crystal Palace, where he only played in 6 domestic games the Eagles.

I’m really happy to be here, and the sooner I’m able to get involved the better. That’s what I want to do personally, but it’s also about helping Norwich to get the points required to stay in the league.

Norwich manager, Alex Niell, has his say on the transfer,

He’s a young forward determined to make his way in the game, and adds competition for us at the top end of the pitch.
