Werder Bremen ready to take Chelsea defender on loan

German newspaper Blid have come out and reported that Chelsea’s Papy Mison Djilobodji is set to travel to Bremen tomorrow, to complete a loan move to Werder Bremen, with a fee of £400,000.

The Senegal international is yet to make a league appearance for the club, and has only made one 3 minute cameo against Swindon in the Capital one cup since joining from FC Nantes for £4m in the summer. It’s clear to see that he was never a Mourinho signing, and as of yet, not impressing current interim manager: Guus Hiddink. The 27 year old is seen to be the ideal replacement for Assani Lukimya who is set to be leaving the German side to move to China.

Papy Djilobodji has only made 12 appearances for the Senegalese national team. It was clear to see that the defender wasn’t Chelsea’s preferred signing after missing out on John Stones, so Papy must be eager to leave the club.
