On the eve of Eden Hazard’s 200th game for Chelsea, the Belgian has spoken about his desire to stay at Chelsea and become a cult hero at the London club. But throughout the 2015/16 campaign, Eden has struggled to maintain the form that won him the PFA and football writers player of the season last time out.
Many Chelsea fans were angered by Hazard’s decision to admit that a move to PSG would be hard to turn down – just days before the clubs 2-1 defeat away at the Parisians in February – and that he would love the opportunity to play under his childhood hero: Zinadine Zidane.
On Chelsea TV, the Belgian was asked about his future at Stamford Bridge:
The future is always the same and that is to win trophies, next season, in two and three years. You want to win the games, to win trophies. [To do that] you have to be ready because all the teams want to beat Chelsea. We are ready for that. We have good players in the team and I hope we can win more trophies. I am always happy here. Even if I play badly, I’m happy. I know this is football but I try to keep a smile on my face every time.
It is obvious that many clubs from around the world will monitor the position of Eden Hazard but the talented winger states that he is happy where he is.
The Premier League is difficult. The small teams can beat the big teams. I am happy with my form, I just need to score a couple of goals. I want the ball, I want to create something.  Mentally I am here and it’s good to be back [to fitness after groin and hip problems].
Eden will look to get his first goal of the Premier league season against Stoke on Saturday to mark a hopefully memorable day.
