Chelsea target £35M-rated attacker from Serie A outfit

Chelsea are interested in signing Sassuolo forward Domenico Berardi, according to Calciomercato.

Berardi came through the Serie A outfit’s academy, and has made 147 appearances for them since doing so. During that period he has found the back of the net on 56 occasions and established himself as one of the most entertaining players in Italy.

His good performances for Sassuolo appear to have captured the attention of Antonio Conte. Calciomercato believe that Chelsea are keen to secure Berardi’s services, and could make a move to sign him in the summer transfer window.

However, they will face stern competition for his signature. Calciomercato also note that both Inter and Juventus are interested in signing the 22-year-old from their Serie A counterparts.

He won’t come cheap either. Calciomercato believe that Sassuolo will demand a fee in the region of £35million in exchange for their prize asset. It remains to be seen if that’s a price any of the three sides are prepared to pay.
