As we reported yesterday, Chelsea are apparently keen on Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. The Serb is tearing up Serie A, and unfortunately the Blues aren’t the only ones to have noticed.
France Football are now reporting that PSG are keen on the talent, and it’s not hard to imagine the Parisians blowing everyone else out of the water with a mega bid this summer.
The only thing holding them back would be their overwhelming number of central midfielders already at the club. Marco Verratti, Giovani Lo Celso, Adrien Rabiot, Thiago Motta and Lassana Diarra are already competing for minutes, with a host of talented youngsters coming through the academy.
Still, PSG don’t usually let logic get in the way of their transfers, and they seems far more likely to be able to meet Lazio’s reported €100+ asking price than Chelsea are.
Perhaps the Blues will miss out on this target, but in that case maybe they can get one of the French club newly defunct centre-mids instead.
