Chelsea fans may be concerned about how their side will stop the most prolific scorer in the English game this season, and rightly so. Mohamed Salah has been immense this season in front of goal, at times leaving defenders for dead in the build up to some of his goals, but Antonio Rudiger has allayed the fears of Blues fans telling them ‘I’m not slow’.
Chelsea face Liverpool on Sunday at Stamford Bridge with their sights on the top four despite standing some five points behind Tottenham Hotspur who lie fourth in the standings.
Their position is not the best after winning the title only last season, but Chelsea are looking at snatching the fourth position from Spurs, and if they can do so, Antonio Conte’s side must win against Liverpool.
That means stopping Mohamed Salah who has over 30 goals under his belt this season in the top flight. As scary as that sounds, Rudiger is confident.
“If I play, it will be a direct duel against Salah. [But] The good thing is I’m not slow so that’s good.”
