Chelsea are willing to do anything it takes to win back the Premier League title they surrendered to Manchester City even before this season began. Poor transfer business, bad tactical decisions by Antonio Conte and poor form of top players have contributed to the failure of the team to even get into the top four this season.
One of the payers that contributed to their fall from grace to grass is Alvaro Morata and Juventus want to give him an exit route if he so wishes to leave Stamford Bridge next summer, although an interview with the Independent last year, revealed the player was in no rush to exit Chelsea.
According to Tuttosport via TalkSport, the Italian Serie A champions are willing to cough up to £13m to sign him on loan for the next one year, and then later pay as much as £52 million for his permanent stay at the Turin club if he succeeds in the trial year.
The plan is not to trial Morata, although that is just going to be used as a cover reason. The ultimate plan will be for Juventus to get Morata convinced in his loan stint, that his future lies with the Turin club and get him signing a permanent deal by the time his short term stint is over.
It will not be a new environment for Morata, who has played for Massimiliano Allgeri’s side for two seasons before signing for Real Madrid in 2016. He won two Serie A titles in his time there and may relish reuniting with some of his old teammates in Italy.
