Chelsea will not appoint Brendan Rodgers as their new manager as they are unhappy with how he has treated Charly Musonda on loan.
The Telegraph report in no uncertain terms that there is a “black mark” against the Celtic manager’s name now, thanks to him breaking his promises to play Musonda regularly.
Instead, after coming off the bench a couple of times in the early stages of January, Musonda has stopped appearing in the manager’s matchday squads at all.
It’s a real shame for Musonda, who now more than ever looks like a lost soul as he drifts towards his 22nd birthday in the Autumn with still just a handful of senior starts to his name.
He has been the victim of poor planning when it comes to the club picking his destinations for him, but his own attitude and work ethic are surely also called into question by this succession of failures.
