Chelsea battling with Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund for Fabregas’ €30m replacement

Chelsea are said to be ready to go hard in the upcoming transfer market, with several top stars being linked with the Blues who now want replace ageing players or recruit new to replace the poor performing stars.

The likes of Danny Drinkwater, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Ross Barkley were brought in the last two transfer windows to try to beef up the Blues midfield, but if anything, they have given Antonio Conte more headaches than he had in their absence. Their form has been poor as their fitness.

According to Sky Sports, Chelsea are ready to fight for Atalanta midfielder Bryan Christante who has also attracted interest from Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal following his short but impressive spell in Italy.

Football Italia has suggested Christante could be secured for less than €30 million if Chelsea and Arsenal want the creative midfielder that badly.

That may seem a outlandish quote for a youngster who has shone only once in a full season as a top flight club.

He has been a nomadic youngster. At 23 years old Christante has been sent on loan to three other European clubs before settling at Atalanta after breaking out of AC Milan’s youth system.
