Chelsea are ready to pay Manchester United back by signing one of their most promising attackers in their ranks, after losing Nemanja Matic to them last summer.
A report by the Guardian says Chelsea are ready to sign Anthony Martial next summer to fill the void, to be possibly left by Eden Hazard if he decides to go to Real Madrid.
The Belgium international has attracted interest from the La Liga giants all season, and a report from the Sun says Los Blancos are set to make a first official bid for Hazard in the coming transfer window. If that happens, Chelsea will need to find a replacement and that will be a difficult situation for the Blues.
What could make it easier for Chelsea to get that replacement is if they look Martial’s way. The France international is finding it hard to get minutes under Jose Mourinho, who has preferred Marcus Rashford or Alexis Sanchez this season in Martial’s favored position on the left flank.
The Telegraph also says Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus are keen for his services and would jump into the race to sign if he becomes available.
