Sky Sports have continued their “power rankings” that calculate an exhaustive ranking of the most in form players in the Premier League.
It uses a pseudo-scientific combination of factors to work out which of the league’s stars are shining at this exact moment.
Eden Hazard was near the top of this list earlier in the season, but a mediocre few months has seen him slide way down the table. He’s still Chelsea’s top ranked player, but he’s been overtaken by Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who is now apparently playing better than any player for the Blues.

The midfielder’s goal and assist at the weekend give him serious points in Sky’s mystery algorithm, as well as his excellent all round display.
Perhaps it’s time to agree that it’s no longer premature that Ruben might just be good enough to play for the first team now – in fact – maybe we should start wondering whether we’re good enough for him?
