Chelsea’s move for European top striker revealed as reason Juventus can whisk Alvaro Morata way next summer

Chelsea are right there when the talk of top players in the world are moving around and switching clubs, and on Wednesday reports said the Blues will look to bring in Edison Cavani.

The Paris Saint Germain striker will likely leave the club in the coming transfer window, and it’s likely a number of top clubs will line up for him, but TuttoSport says Chelsea might win the race for his signature.

The report by Tuttosport is captured by Football Italia, who report that the consequence of the transfer could be Chelsea losing another top player.

Juventus will pounce on Alvaro Morata, if Chelsea sign Cavani, as the Spaniard will struggle for a place in the Chelsea side, especially as Olvier Giroud will be waiting in the wings as an excellent backup.

CalcioMercato reported back in April that Morata was unhappy at Chelsea and was willing to move away, especially to Juventus.

The report says Juventus are ready to open up a negotiations for a £43 million transfer fee, to reunite with the striker who joined them for two years before returning to his boyhood club Real Madrid in 2016.
