Forget Chelsea’s best loanee, Mason Mount is arguably one of Europe’s best young players this season.

Those crazy stats put him up there with the very best of them. Mount’s loan season has gone from strength to strength in Holland and it’s not over yet, with another leg of the Europa League playoff against Den Haag to come.
He surely can’t beat his hattrick from the first game, but with six assists in five games, he must be odds on to lay on a goal for one of his teammates at the very least.
Questions about his future can wait another week or two. For now, let’s see if things can possibly get any better for the superb wonderkid. Still just 19 years old, if he carries on like this, he will be notching Frank Lampard numbers by the end of his career.
