Mason Mount had a hatrick and an assist in the first leg of the Europa League playoff for Vitesse in the Eredivisie, and while he didn’t quite match that, he did get yet another goal.

It’s great news for Chelsea fans who have long held the midfielder up as one of the brightest talents in the academy.
Such is his progress in just the space of a season that many people are insisting he should be involved in the first team next season.
That’s a big ask, and the way he’s been thriving just by getting minutes under his belt, it would seem obtuse to cut that off now.
A move to a bigger club is definitely on the cards, but sitting on the bench at Chelsea is not going to help a young player just starting to blossom in the senior game.
