Tottenham Hotspur is pushing hard for Anthony Martial, according to ESPN.
Chelsea have also been linked with the France winger, with the West London club apparently willing to offer Willian in part-exchange for him.
Tottenham, as if inspired by Chelsea’s idea, are trying a similar plan.
They want to try and get rid of Toby Alderweireld, the exceptional Belgian centre-back, in return for Martial.
Alderweireld is headed for the exit at Spurs as they won’t match his contract demands, so losing him for the Martial – who Jose Mourinho has failed to get the best out of, seems a sensible trade.
Mourinho is a fan of Willian too, so he may be torn between two tempting offers.
However that same ESPN report says that United aren’t interested in losing Martial, feeling that they can still get the best out of the former Monaco man. Despite how much they may be tempted by the players on offer from both Chelsea and Spurs, they won’t allow him to be part of any trade.
