Alvaro Morata is close to joining AC Milan but one thing stands in the way

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata’s wage demands is what is preventing a sealed move to Italian giants AC Milan according to a report by Sky Italia, via Calciomercato.

The Chelsea forward has been identified by the Italian Serie A giants as a main target this summer to correct the failings by their top stars last season. Despite the failings by the Spain striker in England, he still has the appeal some top clubs desire in their squads.

Morata scored six goals in his first six games in the Premier League but ended up with only 11 goals the entire campaign, and scoring two more for Chelsea in other competitions, totaling just 13 goals in all competitions.

The Blues are said to be considering offers for some other players on the market and top names such as Robert Lewandowski have been linked to a Stamford Bridge arrival, as per Metro Sport.

The report by Sky Italia says Morata is also convinced and ready to move to Milan after a tough season in England.
