Chelsea have some of the brightest young talents in football – or so we thought.
But when Italian paper Tuttosport announced their 40 man shortlist for this year’s award, there wasn’t a Blue in sight.
For all those big names in the loan army, not one was considered good enough for this final 40 man shortlist of players under 21.
It’s hard to imagine Mason Mount not being in the top 20, but then again when you consider he plays in the Championship, while some names on there (ahem, Kylian Mbappe, ahem) have won the World Cup – it makes a lot more sense.
