Chelsea “concerned” by the “fit” of this major figure at the club

Chelsea’s results have not been good enough recently.

There have been too many losses this season, too many goals shipped and we’ve never really looked like we’re ready to compete with the top teams, at least after a promising start.

But it’s not only results that are concerning major figures at the club.

The Sun are today reporting that people at Stamford Bridge are “growing  concerned” that Maurizio Sarri is “not a natural fit” for Chelsea – just 8 months after appointing him.

What are the signs? Well the fact that their own fans have negative chants about the manager is hardly positive.

The empty seats starting to pop up around Stamford Bridge will be concerning senior figures at the club too.

There are people who even say that Sarri isn’t buying to the “culture” and history of the club. That’s harder to judge, and we don’t know whether he’s spent evenings reading up about Osgood and Fatty Foulke.

Either way, all will be forgiven if we steam to a Champions League place. The problem is just that that’s not looking too likely right now. If we don’t get a run of wins together, there will be more than just concerns about the Italian coach’s fit.

The Sun even say he could go before the end of the season – perhaps once CL qualification is mathematically ruled out?
