Chelsea have rejected a (quite frankly pathetic) offer from Brighton for academy product Reece James, according to The Sun.
We all knew that James was talented, but few will have imagined that he would make the transition into professional football so seamlessly.
James has been an absolute revelation for relegation battling Wigan this term. He’s been one of their, and the divisions, best.
Even if it is only the Championship, his form cannot be ignored. He looks ready already, which Brighton have clearly taken notice of.

The Sun believe that Brighton put £10M on the table in hope that Chelsea could be convinced to sell – but the bid was rejected.
Chelsea ought to have a great deal of faith in James, who is ready made to occupy the right-back spot when Cesar Azpilicueta departs.
Selling, at any price, would be a poor move from Marina, let alone for such a futile figure like £10M!
