UEFA release laughable statement explaining Chelsea and Arsenal’s Europa League final allocation

A UEFA statement has explained why Chelsea and Arsenal have been given such a miniscule allocation for the Europa League final in Baku.

The two London sides, whose supporters have followed them home and away throughout the course of the competition, have been given just 6,000 tickets each for the final.

A European final between two London rivals is an enormous event, but UEFA have ensured that very few will actually be able to go and see it in the flesh, which is insane.

They’ve now attempted to explain why that is, in this statement…

Basically what UEFA have said here is that the venue and location of the final is not suitable. They were the ones who chuffing picked it in the first place.

It’s hard to believe that they envisaged an Azerbaijani team to make the final, so any competitors would have faced the same problems of getting there.

This just shows, once again, that UEFA couldn’t care less about the fans.
