Chelsea have just lost their best player to Real Madrid, and they may be about to lose their manager too.
It’s that time of year where the news doesn’t stop, and no sooner has Eden Hazard walked out the door then The Blues coach Maurizio Sarri has been linked with a departure too.
“Sky sources”, as you can see below, say Sarri will be allowed to leave his Chelsea contract “next week”, to join Juventus.

That would usually be pretty devastating, but losing your best player of the last ten years puts everything in perspective. Now Sarri seems like an afterthought.
In reality, while no team wants to lose their manager, this gives a clear opportunity for the Blues to bring a new man in to replace the incumbent, who it’s becoming increasingly clear were looking for a chance to shed him anyway.
In fact, this may just end up being a good day to bury bad news.
