It was reported yesterday by Simon Johnson of the Evening Standard, that Real Madrid’s negotiators had let talks with Chelsea, without a deal agreed, after face to face discussions took place.
At this point, it seemed like this move was set to fall apart, at least temporarily, as the two were still miles apart on the potential fee. It was said Chelsea wanted €40m above the €100m or so Real were offering.

Later that evening however, reports from Spain filtered out that the deal was all but done. Now the Guardian are willing to put their name to the fact that the contracts are complete and a €100m move just needs to be made public.

That seems like it will happen in the morning. So Chelsea fans, enjoy your last few hours of Hazard magic. We won’t see his likes in a Blue shirt again for a long time. Thanks for the memories, Eden.
