Report: Chelsea to hijack Everton interest in former £60m Man United man

Everton fear that they could miss out on signing Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace, due to interest from Chelsea, according to The Telegraph.

The report states that Everton are prepared to pay £60 million plus Cenk Tosun for the former Manchester United winger.

However, Chelsea are also interested in signing Zaha in a deal that would see him arrive at Stamford Bridge next summer, once their two window transfer ban has been served.

Telegraph reporter Matt Law believes that this deal may suit Palace, as it would allow Zaha to stay at the club this season, and could improve their chances of signing Michy Batshuayi from Chelsea.

The 26-year old has been subject of transfer speculation for some years now, and Chelsea might feel that now will be the best time to propose this deal to suit all parties.

With Eden Hazard joining Real Madrid this summer, and Willian and Pedro both ageing, the club could be looking at long term replacements.
