Chelsea got their first Champions League win under Frank Lampard last night with a close fought win over Lille in France.
It was an up and down game, and while the Blues did deserve their victory, it wasn’t plain sailing by any means. The game looked headed for a draw before Willian banged in a late winner.
Overall performances were good, and we’re gradually getting to see this team take shape. The players being rotated in are getting more and more minutes in their legs, and if we can rack up a third win on the spin this weekend, we will really have some momentum going.
A lot of players impressed in the team, from front to back producing a mature European display.
You can see our feelings about each player’s performance summed up with a carefully chosen Tweet below:

FIKAYO TOMORI:
I know some might question Tomori's performance because of that one terrible back-pass but apart from that he was once again CLASS today 🔥
1 Assist
100% Tackle Success
1 Interception
2 Fouls Won

KURT ZOUMA:
For such a big guy, Zouma times his jumps so badly. Was on his way down before the ball had arrived.
Soft goal again.

WILLIAN:
Say what y’all want about Willian but his experience and quality showed when we needed it most. He may not be a fan favorite or the best winger which we have, but his occasional quality cannot be denied. Releasing him would be a big mistake.
