Jamie Redknapp has poured praise on Frank Lampard’s management of his Chelsea squad so far this season, in particular the way he has introduced summer signing Christian Pulisic to the action.
The two are cousins, so a grain of salt is always needed when listening to the pundit praise the manager, but nothing Jamie is saying is particularly out of line with what other talking heads are preaching.
“Frank Lampard knows what he is doing with Pulisic, too. He is taking care of the 21-year-old forward,” Reknapp said in his column in the Daily Mail.
The Chelsea boss has been slow to introduce the American winger, gave him a start this weekend and was rewarded with a hattrick.
Lampard is in just his second season as a manager after making his debut with Derby in the last campaign. After a rocky start, things are getting better and better at Stamford Bridge and the season is turning into a real gem.
His management has been great, and the results have been enjoyable. Long may it continue.
