Chelsea fans are absolutely in love with Tammy Abraham right now.
The striker is banging in goals for the team for fun, and living up to his massive potential in our first team. You love to see it.
According to his captain, Cesar Azpilicueta, who spoke to the official Chelsea website, his fellow professionals never doubted that he was going to make the step up to the top level.
“I had confidence in him because I have known him since he was quite young,” Azpilicueta explained in a long piece about the forward.
“Strikers live for goals so it’s great for him. He’s doing incredibly well and he scored an amazing goal. I’m very happy for him and I’m sure he can give us a lot more happiness in the future,” the defender went on to predict.
The amount of happiness he’s bringing us right now, we would be very surprised if he can keep it up. He’s chasing the European Golden boot right now, with 8 games played. You can’t really ask for much more than that.
On the other hand, we’ve got an easy run coming up, in the league at least, and we wouldn’t be at all surprised to see our boy bag a good few more. Then we really will be in dreamland.
