Everything is just rosy at Stamford Bridge at the moment.
The positive vibes are overwhelming, and coming from all directions. The fans are delighted, the players are happy, the management staff is honoured to be doing what it’s doing. It’s all rosy.
It sounds like there was a little more tension back in the summer, however. Tammy Abraham, speaking on England duty in quotes picked up on TalkSport, has revealed that when Frank Lampard had just arrived to start up his preseason sessions, there were some disgruntled faces around.
“I think a lot of players were a bit upset about how much running we had to do in pre-season,” the striker said, presumably in a joking way.
“But it’s all paying off now. “It all makes sense why we did it, why we had such a hard pre-season.”
Frank has high standards, of himself and others. Long may it continue!
