The Chelsea player who N’Golo Kante chose to praise individually

N’Golo Kante receives so much praise that it’s actually a little odd to hear him giving some out.

The Frenchman started Chelsea’s clash with Lille in the Champions League, surprising plenty of us that expected him to miss another match in the interest of getting him 100% for the Premier League.

After the game he was asked about how he and his teammates had played, and there was one person who he decided to pick out for praise – Tammy Abraham.

“Frankly, Lille had a good game, they often put us in trouble, we wanted to win, we managed to win,” Kante admitted.

“We’re going to be satisfied with this victory Tammy Abraham is a player who has been in Chelsea for a long time, he’s doing great things and scores a lot of goals, he scores tonight and it’s nice to have him,” he went on in quotes recorded by The Metro.

It shouldn’t be a surprise to see Tammy picked out like that. Once again he was the focal point of the attack, and once again it was him that forced the ball into the net when Chelsea needed it most. Without him we would be attractive but blunt, and it’s his goals that are keeping the team viable as they find their feet under Frank Lampard.
