Why Chelsea’s game against Burnley is much harder than it looks

Chelsea play Burnley tomorrow, and while they are at least in the evening kickoff slot rather than the 3pm, but those extra hours are unlikely to help much.

The Blues played on Wednesday night against Ajax, recording an impressive win, and while the journey to Amsterdam is hardly an arduous one, it’s a lot more than the Clarets have had to do in the last week.

The Blues will now have to travel up to take on Sean Dyche’s team with minimum rest, and we’re expecting a serious test.

Frank Lampard’s men have won 6 on the bounce, but this will be a massive physical test for them, not only playing with little rest in their legs, but also up against a really physical and competitive team.

Going to Turf Moor as November approaches is nobody’s idea of fun, especially just 72 hours after a European away. This is going to be a battle, and Frank must prepare his troops accordingly.
