Christian Pulisic struggling for words after day he will never forget

Chelsea’s £58 million winger Christian Pulisic has had a mixed time since starting his Chelsea career this summer.

He joined up with his new team mates early after cutting his summer holidays short, and he has since put his head down and focused on getting in to Frank Lampard’s starting eleven.

Something that has been far from easy for him after not really convincing in the early stages of the season.

But he finally earned another start yesterday after a string of games on the sidelines. He impressed Lampard in a few cameo roles recently, most notably against Ajax last week when he came on and changed Chelsea’s attacking dynamics.

He was rewarded with a start against Burnley yesterday and literally lived out his Chelsea dream. The Blues won 4-2 and Pulisic grabbed a ‘perfect hat trick’ scoring with his left foot, right foot and his head. Incredible.

Pulisic has been on cloud nine since and has been struggling to find the words and take it all in.

He did manage to find some words after the game though, as reported by Four Four Two.

He said:

“It’s incredible, honestly I can’t believe it.

“The goals were amazing. It’s tough to say which was my favourite. The header was cool but I think I’d have to go with the first one, the left foot, I don’t know why.

“It’s actually my first professional hat-trick so I nearly forgot the match ball, luckily my team-mates helped me out.”
