If you’re a football player, especially a goalkeeper, questions about your form in the media is either very good news or very bad news.
Frank Lampard had his standard pre-match press conference today, this time in France, and was asked about various things including the form of his goalkeeper Kepa, and his feelings on him overall as a player.
Lampard on Kepa: "Lack of clean sheets? To get one at the weekend, the first one I was most happy for was Kepa. Even though it is a team issue. He is very determined and a good professional. He goes about his work well and he is very focused." #CFC #UCL

Now as Lampard says, Chelsea’s defensive issues haven’t just been down to Kepa’s poor form, the whole team takes some blame for that. But there’s no doubt the stopper isn’t playing like he did last season.
This is very public backing from the manager however, who seems to have full faith his man will be back to his best soon. Tomorrow night would be a great place to start, and he will have the chance to double the number of clean sheets he’s got for the season if he manages one tomorrow night.
