Exceptional young talent happy with Chelsea, or Ajax, or Juventus

Chelsea, as always, have a host of top players out on loan. Some will come back and do great things for the club, others will never come back but will be great for other clubs, and some will not be great for anyone.

Until that decisive moment, nobody is quote sure what their futures will be, and that’s made abundantly clear in this interview with one of the loanees in question.

Juan Castillo is on loan at Ajax this year, and when asked about his future he seemed keen to stay in Holland, but also happy to return to Chelsea.

“Things had happened so I finally chose Chelsea. Chelsea is a big club, so I’m happy with my choice anyway. [But] if I can be loaned out to Ajax, that is absolutely beautiful,” he said in an interview carried by We Ain’t Got No History.

“I would’ve actually gone to Juventus, that was the number one. This was canceled due to certain reasons and transfers. Now it’s up to me to continue,” he went on.

“Ajax has hired me with an option to buy. If I do well, I hope that I get bought and that I get more minutes in the Eredivisie. Ultimately, you want to be bought, because that would mean you have done well. Of course I am also open to Chelsea, but at the moment the plans are as they are,” he concluded.

Talk about keeping your options open! You can’t blame him really. If he really doesn’t know what lies ahead in his career, all he can do is be as diplomatic as possible and hope everything works out for him.

He’s a very talented player, so there’s no doubting he can make it work, with us or elsewhere.
