Former Blue makes ‘£200m’ claim about Chelsea forward trio

Chelsea’s attackers are beginning to fire and really starting to gel under Frank Lampard.

Callum Hudson-Odoi has returned from a long term injury on fire, Tammy Abraham is banging the goals in, Willian is having a great season so far, and now Christian Pulisic is starting to show signs of his quality as well.

Add Mason Mount into that equation and Lampard is beginning to have a selection headache in attack, and all around the pitch.

In fact right now, Pedro cannot even get into the squad having been the latest player to be left out of the Champions League squad that arrived in Holland yesterday.

As a striker, former Chelsea player Tony Cascarino will be really admiring the work of Abraham leading the line and wearing the highly responsible number nine shirt.

But Cascarino has also been very impressed with the recent performances of Hudson-Odoi and Pulisic.

Writing in his latest column for The Times, Casarino said:

“Christian Pulisic has found chances to impress few and far between since arriving at Stamford Bridge in the summer but I believe he will be a success.

“Some players are slow burners who need time to gradually ease their way into the team.

“Callum Hudson-Odoi dazzled during the victory over Newcastle but Pulisic was just as effective when he came off the bench.

“He saw opportunities, ran at defenders and his weight of pass was perfect. He looked incredibly sharp and kept causing problems.

“When you consider that Pulisic is 21, Tammy Abraham 22 and Hudson-Odoi will be 19 in November, Chelsea could conceivably have found their forward line for the next decade.

“Already, you are looking at around £200million-worth of talent.”
