Frank Lampard has just had his post match press conference at Stamford Bridge, and the Chelsea boss was clearly not in a great mood after a home defeat.
He did come bearing some rather significant injury news however, concerning our eternally hurt trio and a couple of others. Nizaar Kinsella had the full report:
Lampard injury update: "Emerson, I am hoping within the next couple of games. N'Golo, possibly for Ajax, potentially Palace. Toni, I am not sure. He is still having some issues. Ross, hopefully at the weekend." #CFC

To be honest, it doesn’t sound good on any front. All three have come back from injury issues this season and then found themselves back in the treatment room. It’s impossible to know if it’s all just bad luck, but it’s not a great look for the club at the moment.
Kante is perhaps the most important, and apart from Ross Barkley he sound like the closest to a return. On tonight’s evidence, we really need him. Rudiger’s issues are a real worry now, and Emerson’s replacement didn’t play well tonight either.
Get well soon, guys. The team needs you all back as soon as possible, with massive games coming up every week now.
