Frank Lampard names his best player of the season so far

Chelsea have a quick turn around from their trip to Holland in midweek to facing Burnley in the Premier League tomorrow.

Celebrations would have been short lived for Frank Lampard and the lads after their impressive away victory against Ajax in the Champions League.

Since then they have been busy preparing for tomorrow’s league clash against Burnley in the 5.30pm kick off.

Lampard is starting to get the luxury of having many quality players to pick from with some returning from injury, and others really staking a claim to start.

Christian Pulisic is one of those who will feel he has done enough to earn a starting place, and Lampard agrees. But he has a selection headache and some decisions to make.

Pulisic will be fighting for a starting place with one player that Lampard describes as his ‘best’, in the shape of Brazilian international Willian.

Speaking in his latest press conference, Lampard was asked about the situation. As reported by Goal’s Nizaar Kinsella.

He said:

“The way he [Pulisic] has played he has deserved a starting place regularly in the last few weeks but so do others. It is brilliant that he is coming on making the impact that he is making. That’s what he is here to do.”
