There’s nothing better than sitting down to watch Match of the Day after a Chelsea win, and yesterday was no exception.
The Blues beat Newcastle at home 1-0, and while it was hardly a classic likely to lead off the famous highlights show, it was a good enough game to get some analysis from the pundits in the studio.
One man whose approval you’re always looking for on MOTD is Alan Shearer. He’s not the Premier League’s top scorer for nothing, you know. When he picks you out for praise, you’ve got to be delighted, and that’s exactly how Callum Hudson-Odoi must be feeling now.
The winger did well and got another assist for the team against the Magpies, and in quotes listed by the Daily Star, Shearer couldn’t get enough of him.
“He is just 18-years-old and can spray the ball around brilliantly, he is full of confidence,” the former striker said.
“He can go left, right, outside or inside and everything Chelsea did today he was at the heart of it,” he went on.
