Frank Lampard has been speaking to the press after a really impressive win from his team in Amsterdam.
They managed to beat Ajax 1-0 after a late goal from Michy Batshuayi, set up by Christian Pulisic’s clever winding run down the left.
Lampard was full of praise for his whole team, but especially looked to praise Pulisic, who has struggled for starts but regularly impressed coming off the bench.
He said it was important “give Christian huge credit, because the assist was as important as the goal.”

He’s not wrong. We were glad Michy was on hand to put it in the roof of the net, but it was really CP’s turn and run that made the game’s crucial moment of space.
