Eden Hazard joined Real Madrid from Chelsea this summer in a big money move that allowed Hazard to join his self-confessed boyhood club.
The former Chelsea man has had a bit of a nightmare though since arriving in Spain, and it all started with reports that he arrived at pre-season 7kg over-weight, as picked up by The Mirror and others at the time.
Since then he has struggled to get amongst the goals and show any of the real form that made him one of the best players in world football.
His nightmare continued last night as he missed probably one of the easiest chances to score that football has seen for a long time in Real Madrid’s 1-0 win over Galatasaray in the Champions League.
How do I explain to my kids that Eden Hazard missed this… #Madrid #LosBlancos https://t.co/0wtDrjzAIu

Chelsea fans have been reacting to the miss on Twitter and some believe that their former hero is not the same man he once was in Chelsea blue!

Confidence is everything man. Hazard shoots in that situation at Chelsea all day. Look at him behaving like a youth player

He's not the same man anymore, the real Eden Hazard actually died on 1st July 2019.

Hazard with a nice assist. Should’ve shot though, 100% lacking confidence.

Hazard will find his form at Madrid, but at Chelsea he generally benefitted from having a free role and the system built around him. Hazard doesn’t have that freedom and luxury at Madrid currently.

Hazard & Benzema will be frustrated after this one tonight. They were both part of the goal, but could have created so many more. Multiple “almost” moments.
But if they can continue building this chemistry, those moments will go from “almost” to “special”.
