Lampard-ball is giving Chelsea fans their money’s worth

Last night’s Chelsea game saw the Blues beat a spirited Lille side in yet another exciting game under the management of Frank Lampard.

The new Blues boss has brought high tempo football, pressing all over the pitch and playing quick transitions into the forwards.

Maybe it’s just the contrast with last year’s slightly stultifying Sarri-ball, but this team seems on fast forward in comparison.

It works both ways, and we’re letting in as many silly goals as we’re scoring crackers, but the whole ride is great fun.

So far, the results have been at least as good as expected, and the performances extremely fun. It was in full effect last night, with Chelsea winning but still seeing their own goalkeeper drop some kickups in his own box as he was closed down. Our hearts were in our mouths, but it certainly beats a 0-0.

It we can keep this thrilling football going, and add a little consistency (and maybe some defending at corners) and nobody can have any complaints.
