Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount has made the final 20 nominees for the Golden Boy Award.
As reported by Goal, the award is distributed by Italian newspaper Tuttosport, and it rewards the most impressive player under the age of 21 to be playing in a European top tier in each calendar year.
Previous winners are Lionel Messi, Paul Pogba and Kylian Mbappe. The most recent winner was Matthijs de Ligt in 2018.
Mount will be up against the likes of de Ligt again, as well as Matteo Guendouzi of Arsenal, Phil Foden of Manchester City, Kai Havertz of Bayer Leverkusen, Joao Felix of Atletico Madrid, Moise Kean of Everton, and Jadon Sancho of Borussia Dortmund.

Mount has had an excellent start under Frank Lampard at Chelsea scoring 4 goals and playing in the majority of matches so far.
He also earned his first full England senior cap last week and will look to continue his good form.
