Mount and Tomori reveal the senior Chelsea player who always watched academy matches

Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori are both on cloud nine at Chelsea right now, coming from the Blues academy and now finding themselves to be regular first team players, it’s a dream come true.

Both players have earned their chances with different loan spells away from the club in recent years, but both have followed the same path through one of the best academy setups in world football.

Mount has been excellent in an attacking sense for the Blues so far this season coming up with some important goals already.

Whilst Tomori has nailed down his spot as one of the first defenders that Frank Lampard writes on his team sheet.

Lampard’s good friend and former Blues team mate John Terry is one man who knows exactly how it feels to graduate from the academy and become a regular in the first team.

Whilst Terry was playing for and captaining Chelsea, Tomori and Mount have revealed that he ‘used to come all the time’ to watch them play in their academy matches, on an interview for Match of the Day on the BBC.
