You read that right. It’s the latest wacky stunt from Carabao, and something that we likely won’t actually think about again until it’s happening.
In order to even be involved in this latest odd PR move, Chelsea have to beat Manchester United tomorrow night to advance to the quarter finals. We’re expecting both managers to change their teams pretty heavily, so it’s hard to know what to expect from the match. United’s form has been patchy at best, and despite our heavy loss to them a couple of months ago we fancy ourselves to beat them and make it to the quarters.
That’s right, we’re a game away from that stage of the competition already. No wonder we do so well every year, you just have to win a couple of games and you’re name is in the hat… or whatever it is Ball will be using.
