Chelsea are gearing up to face Manchester United in the Carabao Cup tomorrow evening at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues will be hoping to avenge their 4-0 defeat to United earlier this season in the 8.05pm kick off tomorrow night.
Since then though, Chelsea have flipped their season on it’s head and have won the last 7 games in a row in all competitions, so confidence will be high.
The Blues are likely to field some fringe and young players in their starting line up tomorrow in order to rest a number of key players. But make no mistake, Frank Lampard will be doing his all to win this one.
His counterpart Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that he is likely to give first domestic starts to two young players in particular as he hints at playing a young side.
As reported by The Manchester Evening News, Solskjaer replied “I would think so,” when asked about the likelihood of youngsters Brandon Williams and James Garner being involved at Stamford Bridge.
He said:
“We have not made a decision on who is going to play [against Chelsea], but you will probably see the two of them.”
