If you kept an eye on the Chelsea Development team last night, it may have hinted on some of the youngsters going along to be part of Frank Lampard’s squad to face Manchester United in the Carabao Cup this evening.
Ian Maatsen, Billy Gilmour, Marc Guehi, and Tariq Lamptey could all be involved tonight as they were removed from the Development squad.
Gilmour and Guehi could even start, if Lampard feels that a rest is needed for Fikayo Tomori, Kurt Zouma, and Jorginho.
Andreas Christensen, Antonio Rudiger and Ross Barkley all trained yesterday after injuries, but the game has come too soon for Rudiger at least, potentially Barkley and Christensen as well.
Lampard will be ringing the changes.

Kepa, James, Zouma, Guehi, Emerson. Gilmour, Kovacic. Hudson-Odoi, Pedro, Pulisic. Batshuayi.
I’d expect to see Maatsen for Emerson, Giroud for Batshuayi, and Lamptey to potentially get minutes if they have been included in the squad.
