We’re not sure what the source for these quotes is, but Chelsea Loan Army on Twitter, who to be fair does usually come up with the goods, has a series of really interesting lines purporting to be from Piet de Visser, Chelsea’s head scout.
In them he talks about players past and present that he helped sign and develop, and also spills the beans on the managers who he’s clashed with.
First on his grudge list was Jose Mourinho. De Visser says he was “angry” when the Portuguese decided to get shot of Kevin de Bruyne:

Mourinho’s inclination to “win now” over “develop players” clearly caused a rift too:

And it wasn’t just Mourinho who he had a problem with. The situation with Callum Hudson-Odoi last season clearly left him tearing his hair out too.
According to de Visser, and of course what we could all see on the pitch, it was Sarri’s reluctance to play CHO that lead to him wanting to leave:

Thankfully for us, and for Callum, everything has since worked out for the best.
