There’s always a bit of a breaking up for half term vibe after the last game before the international break.
Players who aren’t joining up with their national teams will get a few days off, and even those heading off to international duty will get some time to themselves. On Sunday the players went over to applaud the fans before heading off, and they were met with a rapturous reception.
They were hailed after losing to Liverpool a couple of weeks ago, so of course they were going to get a big hand after such an exciting win on the road.
Frank Lampard had his name sung, and each player in turn soaked up the well earned love from the fans.
