Frank Lampard had his standard Champions League prematch press conference today ahead of the game against Lille tomorrow, and he was inevitably asked about the nonsense surround Ross Barkley this week.
The midfielder had another bad pack page when he was filmed in a run in with a cab driver after eating chips in the back on a night out. Lampard brushed the incident off, but he did admit that he thought the England international had lacked some professionalism in going out 48 hours before a game.
His tone indicates he’s annoyed enough to rank Ross down in his thinking this week, but not beyond that. There are plenty of Chelsea fans who won’t be unhappy about that move.
