Chelsea lost to Man United last night, and Frank Lampard spoke to the media after the game in a measured way.
He identified two issues that his Chelsea team had had. One in the first half, a lack of pace in their passing; and another in the second, a lack of clinical finishing.
It’s hard to disagree with his assessment really – that’s exactly what most fans were saying as they watched the game. Ultimately, it’s the least important competition we’re in, and we will enjoy a few extra games off now. That’s the bright side, anyway.
